I finally got around to doing some shooting this summer. I went to Powell Gardens in Kansas City and I had a blast taking pictures of all the flowers. Perhaps I really am following in the steps of Mapplethrope…
I only wish I had had a macro lens instead of my 18-55 kit lens. I really would like to go back again some day and take some more pictures. However, despite not having the lens I wanted, I am pleased with my flowers. Granted, with such beautiful subjects to work with, it was hard not to get great shots!
